Yvonne DeCarlo Dead at 84

Yvonne De Carlo has died of natural causes in Los Angeles. She is best known to TV viewers as Lily Munster in the 1964-1966 show “The Munsters.”

“But it would be a shame if that’s the only way she is remembered. She was also one of the biggest beauty queens of the ‘40s and ‘50s, one of the most beautiful women in the world. This was one of the great glamour queens of Hollywood, one of the last ones.”

Her film credits included Road to Morocco, Kismet (starring Marlene Dietrich), Slave Girl, Song of Scheherezade, Casbah, River Lady, The Desert Hawk, Silver City, Scarlet Angel, Sombrero, Passion, and Magic Fire. Her most notable screen role was as Sephora in the DeMille biblical epic The Ten Commandments.
