'Tequila!' Singer Danny Flores Dies

Saxophonist Danny Flores has died from complications of pneumonia in Huntington Beach, California. He was 77.

Flores was most famous for being the person who shouted "tequila!" in the 1958 song 'Tequila!' He also wrote the riff and played the "dirty sax" on the song. Because of the song's success, Flores has often been referred to as "the Godfather of Latino Rock."

Perhaps his most important success was his marriage to his wife Sharee:

"We had the best life we could ever hope for," she says, still choked up over the loss of her husband. "When I met Danny, he made all my dreams come true. In all our 33 years, we were never apart. I wish you could tell people how much we loved each other."
