Delta Burke Checks into Psychiatric Hospital

Delta Burke, 51, has checked into a psychiatric ward for treatment of hoarding, OCD, and depression. The actress did an interview with TMZ in which she explained that her meds weren't working and she needed help getting them sorted out.

"I've been here a week. I came in because I was on so many medications and they just weren't working, and I knew I needed to get my meds worked out, and that's a very long, tedious procedure ... Even if you're just on one or two. I'm on five. We were thinking that maybe I hadn't been properly diagnosed. Because some of these meds, it didn’t seem like they were working ...Have you seen those shows where they don't find the body for days and they go in to clean up and there are stacks of newspapers up to the ceiling? That's hoarding. And I hate it."

Burke is married to actor Gerald McRaney.

Is Sheryl Crow One Square Short of a Roll?

Sheryl Crow has proposed a ban on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in each visit to the toilet. I'm posting this under the mental health category because I'm concerned that Sheryl has lost her mind.

She says we should be allowed to use "only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required".

"I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting ... I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming," Crow wrote reported the BBC.

Perhaps she should spend a bit more time trying to come up with ways for us to deal with global warming, because this idea is not cutting it. Just how is this "limitation" supposed to be enforced? Will there be a toilet paper quota and we can only buy so much per month? Will Sheryl personally monitor your bathroom adventures?

"Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating."

She also wants to do away with paper napkins and create a clothing line with napkins built into the sleeves.

I have designed a clothing line that has what’s called a “dining sleeve”. The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another “dining sleeve,” after usage. The design will offer the “diner” the convenience of wiping his mouth on his sleeve rather than throwing out yet another barely used paper product. I think this idea could also translate quite well to those suffering with an annoying head cold.”

Gosh, I'm surprised she doesn't want us to use the same square of toilet paper we were allowed in the bathroom to then wipe our mouths!

Seriously, Sheryl, if you want to help the environment there are many ways it can be done without actually making laws about how much toilet paper people can use. If you can get by with just one square of toilet paper and still be hygienic, then more power to you. For the rest of us, there are many other ways to do our part and conserve.

Shelley Long Checks Into a Mental Hospital

Actress Shelley Long, 57, has checked into a mental hospital in Pasadena, California after reportedly becoming delusional.

Recent photos show Shelley reportedly leaving the Aurora Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, CA ... Looking frail but determined in a blue sweater and glasses the actress gives the camera a quick glance.

Newsflash: Celebrities Are Narcissistic

Dr. Drew Pinsky and S. Mark Young of USC conducted a study on celebrities to see if they were more narcissistic than non-celebrities.

The study, whose subjects were all guests on Pinsky's sex-advice radio show — not a place for shrinking violets — found that reality TV stars were the most narcissistic of all celebrities. Female stars were also more likely than their male counterparts to exhibit narcissistic traits.

We didn't need this study to tell us that. All we needed was Rupert Everett and his new autobiography, Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins, in which we learn that Sharon Stone is "stark raving mad," Julia Roberts is "tinged with madness," and Rupert Everett is quite possibly the worst writer in the world.

She had never looked better, even if she insisted on cutting her own hair with her nail scissors. She was a great beauty and her eyes were hypnotic. I was swept in by their drama, even if I didn't know what the hell she was talking about.
