Love Frontman Arthur Lee Dies of Leukemia
Arthur Lee, singer-guitarist for the 1960s band Love, has died of leukemia at the age of 61. As part of his treatment, Lee was the first adult Tennesseean to have a bone marrow transplant using umbilical cord stem cells.
"His death comes as a shock to me because Arthur had the uncanny ability to bounce back from everything, and leukemia was no exception," Linn told Reuters. "He was confident that he would be back on stage by the fall."
