Ruben Studdard Goes Vegetarian

Ruben Studdard became a vegetarian and says it changed his life. The American Idol winner has lost weight, has more energy, and has a greater sense of well-being after making the dietary change. PETA's website GoVeg.org has an interview with Studdard

I’ve dropped 80 pounds since leaving Duke—but 40 of that came after I became a vegetarian. My band, they all complain about my rider requirements for only veggie stuff backstage, but they’re learning, too, like I did. There’s always a better way to live if you’re open to it.

Jerry Hall Wears Chung Shi Shoes to Keep Fit

Model Jerry Hall wears Chung Shi running shoes with a built-in "balance bar" that keeps the wearer's posture perfect and works unused muscles.

Jerry, the ex-wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Within an hour of wearing them I already felt they were working their magic. The shoes naturally encourage better posture and stretch your muscles to feel like your body is newly energised.

Luke Wilson Is Letting His Body Go to Hell

Actor Luke Wilson, a former track star, says he's let himself go and he doesn't care. After packing on some pounds for his role in The Family Stone, he hasn't bothered to lose it. Let's hope his next role doesn't require him to gain even more weight because we'd hate to see an obese Wilson.

"I'm a little older and fatter now, and I'm not exercising as much. My lifestyle these days involves a lot of beer and pasta. But there's something satisfying in letting your body go to hell. So maybe I won't get offered the same kind of role as before. So what? I'm happy to play the guy in his mid-30s who may be a little unhealthy."

Beyonce Knowles says granola cereal is her big fitness secret. I wonder how she manages that since most granola is quite fattening and loaded with calories.

Something Fishy About Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow talks about the food she ate during her battle with breast cancer. She was smart to eat loads of cancer-fighting salmon since many studies show that fish eaters have lower rates of cancer:

"I kind of went into a full-on Eskimo diet, where I ate a lot of salmon - in fact I'm salmoned out of my brains. "(I ate) a lot of Omega 6 instead of Omega 3 (acids), and really green vegetables, really clean organic food. "I haven't had a doughnut in I can't remember when."
