Nicole Richie, 26, and Joel Madden, 28, welcomed a baby girl today named Harlow Winter Kate Madden. The baby was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed in at 6 lbs. 7 oz.

A representative for the couple told People magazine: "The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents."

The couple says they plan to marry in the near future but haven't set a date.

Toni Collette Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Actress Toni Collette, 35, and husband Dave Galafassi, welcomed their first child on Wednesday, a baby girl named Sage Florence Galafassi. The baby was born in Sydney, Australia.

According to a spokesperson, "Both mother and baby are very well and very happy."

Dennis Quaid and Wife Suing Heparin Manufacturer

Dennis Quaid and his wife are suing the makers of heparin after their newborn twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were accidentally overdosed with the drug at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

The suit accuses Baxter Healthcare Corp. of Illinois of failing to put clear distinguishing labels on its 10-unit and 10,000-unit vials of heparin, and failing to recall the product after three other infants died because of a mix-up. The Quaids seek at least $50,000 in damages.

The Quaids' lawyer says the couple is filing suit in order to prevent such an accident from happening to other people.

Dennis Quaid's Twins Recovering After Overdose

Dennis Quaid's newborn twins are reportedly in stable condition after receiving an accidental overdose of Heparin at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

However, TMZ is reporting that a source says there is still concern about the babies because of the "bleed out" that occurred after the overdose and that it may take a week to find out if there will be any longterm effects from the overdose.

Dr Michael Langberg, chief medical officer at Cedars-Sinai, said in a statement: "This was a preventable error, involving a failure to follow our standard policies and procedures, and there is no excuse for that to occur at Cedars-Sinai. Although it appears at this point that there was no harm to any patient, we take this situation very seriously."

Babies normally receive 10 unites of Heparin but the twins received 10,000 units. TMZ is reporting that it happened because a phamacy technician accidentally put a 10,000 unit vial in the drawer that is supposed to contain only 10 unit vials.

Dennis Quaid's newborn fraternal twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, have been given an accidental overdose at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Instead of the usual 10 units of anti-coagulant Heparin, the babies were each given an alarming 10,000 units of the drug. The overdose caused the babies to bleed out. They are now stable in the intensive care unit where they are being given a drug to reverse the effects.

According to TMZ, the Quaid twins weren't the only ones who were given an overdose of Heparin. As many as 13 patients may have been accidentally overdosed.

Nicole Richie Has Wizard of Oz Baby Shower

Nicole Richie had a Wizard of Oz themed baby shower this past weekend in Beverly Hills.

People magazine reports that many of the gifts were boy gifts, suggesting Richie is expecting a boy. She has not previously revealed the sex of the baby.

Richie, who is due in January, announced her pregnancy in July. Her boyfriend, Joel Madden, is the father.

Tom Brady Visits Ex Bridget Moynahan and Baby

Tom Brady, whose son John with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan is now three months old, recently visited his son for the first time since his birth. He says the baby is "truly a joy" and says he hopes to spend more time with the boy in coming months.

"I'm very blessed that he's healthy, and I look forward to spending as much time with him as I can when the season's over," Brady said in a post-baby-visit interview this week with Boston's Channel 5 "Patriots All Access" show.

Brady is currently dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

The couple, who was married in 2004, used a surrogate mother for the pregnancy. Quaid also has a 15-year-old son with ex-wife Meg Ryan.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, co-host of The View, gave birth to a boy on Friday. Today she called into The View to announce the boy's name, Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck.

Taylor weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces. This is the second child for Hasselbeck and husband Tim Hasselbeck, a backup quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.

Elisabeth plans to return to The View in January.

Berry released a statement: "Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I've waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!"

In 2005, Berry told Jet magazine: "It looks like the only option I have left is to head to the sperm bank. I've been so desperately unlucky in love and that has thwarted my desire for motherhood. It's so frustrating. The only other option would be adoption. I really yearn for a child and I can't wait much longer."
