Anna Nicole Smith Dead at 39
Anna Nicole Smith died this afternoon after collapsing in her room at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Emergency personnel and fire crews arrived at the scene and attempted to revive her with CPR and put a tube down her throat.
She was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital where sources were first saying it didn't look good for Anna. Now, multiple sources are reporting that Smith is dead.
There will be a press conference shortly from the hospital in Hollywood, Florida. We will update this space as updates occur.
Update: During the press conference it was revealed that Anna Nicole had been in Florida since Monday. She was staying at the hotel with Howard K. Stern. Anna Nicole had a nurse in her hotel room and the nurse is the one who called 911 at 1:38 pm. At 1:45 pm her bodyguard attempted CPR. Paramedics arrived and failed to revive her. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at 2:49 pm.
It's not clear why Anna had a nurse in her room, but there have been reports that Anna had a fever last night and the nurse may have been there for that reason. Anna's 5-month-old baby, Dannielynn, is reportedly in the Bahamas under the care of a family friend.

Tragic. What happens to the baby now?
I love this comment. Thanks for letting it star in its own post. I get nervous when I see angry righteous mobs rushing to open bags of feathers and warm the tar. So often we understand only a small piece of the story and instead we let anger do the thinking for us.
