Actress Kitty Carlisle Dead at 96
Kitty Carlisle Hart died Tuesday night at the age of 96. She contracted pneumonia over the Christmas holidays and had been in and out of the hospital. She served 20 years on the New York State Council on the Arts and received the National Medal of Arts in 1991. Many may remember her as a panelist on the popular game show To Tell the Truth. Her film credits include The Night at the Opera made in 1935.
She began every day with an exercise routine, even after she turned 90. "I can do things a woman a fifth my age can't do. ... I do 40 leg lifts without stopping. And then I take my legs, I put them over my head, and I touch the floor behind me with my toes," Ms. Hart told 60 Minutes.Kitty Carlisle Hart: 1910-2007
