Actor Jack Warden Dies at 85
Actor Jack Warden has died in New York at 85.
"Everything gave out. Old age," [business manager Sidney] Pazoff said. "He really had turned downhill in the past month; heart and then kidney and then all kinds of stuff."
Warden appeared in dozens of films, including two for which he was nominated for supporting actor Oscars, "Shampoo" and "Heaven Can Wait." His films include "Twelve Angry Men," "All the President's Men," "Being There," "The Verdict," "Bullets Over Broadway," "Bulworth," and "While You Were Sleeping."
He appeared in many made-for-TV movies, including "Brian's Song," for which he won an Emmy. He starred in the tv series "Crazy Like a Fox," for which he won his second Emmy. He also appeared in guest roles on many popular television shows throughout the years, including "Bonanza," "The Untouchables," "Dr. Kildare," "Wagon Train," "Bewitched," and "The Twilight Zone."
